Special Days and Events at Preschool
We think every day is a special day at preschool but to add extra special days we have theme days occasionally. Some of these include hat days, pet days, dinosaur days, pajama days, Hawaii Days, celebration of Dr. Suess birthday.

We also have a few parent/child special events. The first week of school we have an all school pizza party at noon so parents can meet other parents. We have our annual soup sharing day the day before Thanksgiving when the children bring vegetables and we make soup. They put on a program for our parents and guests and we all enjoy soup together. We have our annual International Day Celebration in May where the children bring fruit to school and we make a wonderful fruit salad. Parents add to it by bringing ethnic finger foods. The children put on a program and we all feast together.
We have several “Parent’s Night Out” on a Friday evening. The children can come to school for an evening and enjoy fun cooking, crafts and playtime while parents take the evening off. The staff volunteer their time and the money collected goes to our fundraising account.
High Touch/High Tech Science comes once a month to do a fantastic age appropriate science lesson with our children. We have learned about weather, our bodies, fossils, rocks, rainbows and colors, spiders and insects and more.
Our PreK class take an occasional local field trip. In 2008-09 they went to California Pizza kitchen and Danny’s Farm.
The entire school enjoyed a visit by the San Marino Fire Department to learn about fire safety.
We end our school year with a picnic at Lacy Park. This is a parent child event.
